I have the ipod integration kit on my

on w209 clk500. My car has the navi and I have the 4gb ipod nano. I have the new software update so it works fine. My question is how do i move playlists? It seems its only playing my purchased playlist and nothing else and i cant seem to find out how to move play lists.
Do I need to consolidate everything into 1 huge list?
Thanks in advance!

Whichever one is available (1 of 5)
In the iTune screen on your PC or MAC, you need to add your purchased songs, other folders, and playlists to your library, by selecting 'File' option, then choose add file or folder to library. Once everything is consolidated, you can download the entire library to your iPod.

No, you do not need to consolidate -- though the "Library" should contain everything. It's the playlists (incl purchased) where you can selectively include songs (a song can be in multiple playlists, too).

You need to read that little booklet that came with the kit veeeery closely. Much like you tap the wheel and menu to move up and down on the iPod's interface... you use the phone answer and hangup buttons on your steering wheel to go up and down in the menu structure displayed on the MFD. Likewise, once in a menu, you move up and down in that menu using the up and down arrows on the steering wheel.

This way, it is possible to play all songs from your Library and/or any playlist (as many as you like). You will notice some truncation in playlist and song titles in the MFD... but there's usually enough to know where you are.
