03 E500 Sat Radio Frustration
Can anyone give me a lengthy explanation why my car can't receive Sirrius Sat radio in my OEM NAV Radio unit. Sirrius is mentioned extensively in the owners booklet. There is a button for it. This doesn't seem right.
I have seen on this board that someone from overseas may be able to sell me something but that propostion is a scary one. I don't want to void my warranty or spend $1500 for the sole pleasure of listening to Sat radio.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know where you got your info from, but as far as I know, your 2003 CAN have SAT radio AS LONG as it has a comand headunit (which you apparently have) - so,just get SAT installed then.

Had mine installed for 750, including the color match antenna on the trunk. The newer antennas are far smaller than the older ones and I found from past experiences that there are far less drops having it on the trunk.
