ipod and comand/nav screen

ipod and comand/nav screen
I have the MB ipod integration kit. I can see and navigate the ipod options through my steering wheel control, but not through my COMAND/Nav screen. I just stay on a blank AUX screen in my center console.
It would be cool if it showed track info on the center screen. Has anyone heard of a way to display ipod info and control the ipod using the center Nav screen?

Should be out in the market about Q3 or Q4 2006. So far Apple Computer has not developed or released the specification of how anything can talk to the video function of the iPOD and control it remotely.
At this moment it is impossible to do this function until a new firmware is released for the video ipod which allows the bottom connector to send and accept external data.
Once that is done by Apple then developers will be able to engineer a steering wheel solution as a TV tuner replacement.
However, the function of playing MP3 music in 2006 cars with track names showing on the head unit is already something that is likely to come out this year. Steering controls are included.
