'02 c230 coupe: sub install - HELP!
OK, the weather is finally nice here, and I'm ready to install my amp/sub. I have an 02 c230 coupe - with the Bose system, and COMAND 2.0. I saw a few posts on here regarding this issue, but couldn't find any definite answers. I know where to run the power/ground for my amp, this isn't an issue. I have no clue where I should run the remote wire for the amp, or where I can tap into the sound system to get the sound into the amp. I bought a speaker wire to RCA converter in case I need it. My amp also accepts speaker level inputs as well. Do I need to disconnect my factory amp/sub? When I installed my Comand, I noticed that there isnt any speaker wire coming out of the harness because of the bose system. Can I wire the harness to my amp somehow to get signal directly from the COMAND? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You can tap RCA line out signal from the rear decks in sedans so maybe your rear speakers (don't really know how the config is in the coupe), that's what I hear most people do when they keep ther factory head unit. The remote turn on I think can be wired to the factory deck somewhere (?), possibly the ACC wire to trigger it when you start the car.

Yea thats what i did in my last car. the c-coupe only has speakers in the doors though. None in the back, only the subwoofer. It has the BOSE system too, so I think the wiring is different. It ended up raining all weekend, so i didnt have a chance to pull anything apart. I know there is def. no speaker wire behind the COMAND though.

Please STFF since the turn-on signal and speaker taps have been discussed numerous times.

W202 is different form W203. Lets make sure we pass correct info when we do it; i.e. ACC wire.
