Navigation CD Player

Does anyone know how I burn CDs to make it list the title/artist of the song when I play it in the car?

Which COMAND do you have? I have the Euro COMAND 2.0, and the only thing you can do it store the name of the CD. It doesn't display song names.

2005 SL500

I burn CDs with mp3 files to use in my 2005 SL500. (The 2005 SL500 has a COMAND system which plays mp3 files. I stopped using the CD changer and, thus, am uncertain about what happens via that route.)

I maintain my music library in Musicmatch on my PC. The Musicmatch program allows you to correct song names, artists, etc. (Music CDs frequently contain text errors.)

Through Windows Explorer, I create (on my hard drive) a folder with the songs that I desire to put on the CD. (A CD will hold 700MB or about 170 average-length songs.) I then copy the mp3 files from this folder to the CD.

If you do not adjust the settings, the COMAND system plays the mp3 files in alphabetical order according to the artist name. You can adjust the COMAND settings to play mp3 files in random order. Alternatively, you can create playlists by placing the mp3 files into sub-folders before burning the CD.
