Motorola Q and Bluetooth

Anybody care to speculate on whether the new Moto Q will integrate with the AWS bluetooth system for 2006 E55? With phonebook download? I know that BB and Treo won't but it looks like all Moto products will. So, maybe the Q has the same BT profile?

Check www.wireless4mb.com. Blackberry is supported by MHI Bluetooth!

Verizon will release Q in a week or two, I'm sure someone will post the results shortly after.

Thanks dtkw. I know that the phone isn't out yet - thats why I asked for speculation. And, your info on the puck being made by Moto is exactly what I was looking for. Do you know if the MHI (for 2005-07 cars) is also made by Moto?

Magic - the BB doesnt download phonebook

The MHI control unit is Motorola, the matching cradles and Bluetooth interface are made by Peiker in Germany.

MHI uses AT Bluetooth commands to transfer phonebook information. So far, it's a Motorola thing to support AT commands but I understand that Microsoft is interested too. So, phonebook download seems like a reasonable expectation for the Q and the MB Bluetooth system!

The Bluetooth profile 2.0 (upcoming someday) supports Phonebook Access. Not until the phone manufacturers and auto manufacturers implement this new profile, will we get universal phonebook download.
