No sound
I have a 03 s 500. I turned off my audio when getting out the car, I came back to the car 15 minutes later turned the power back on and now I have no sound from anything. The radio comes on but no sound, cd doesnt even try to play, telephone puts up a error message and voice control cant be heard not even the initial beep sound it makes before saying a command any clue what the problem is???

Did it re-set after turning off the ignition and removing the key? Did you recycle the power button for COMAND? I had this happen a time or two in my '00 S500, and those steps worked. Ultimately it took a a firmware update to cure my problem.
If not, check the fuses - especially the amplifier fuse. It could be any of several malfunctions (I don't know the detailed electronics well enough - or whether your car has the audio gateway or other components whose fuse failed) - but look for fuses having anything to do with audio. There should be a fuse diagram in your spare tire compartment.
You can also go into the system menu for COMAND and have it re-search for equipment on the fiber optic bus. how do i check to see if the amp is dead?? I was playing music at a high interval just to see what the systm could do..I turned the car off and removed the key but still nothing, I didnt see a fuse for the amp, but i checked car audio fuse and sound system fuse but there was no problem there. I only checked two fuses could it be any other fuses? or anything that just became unplugged?
