BEST WAY TO UPGRADE STOCK STEREO IN 2003 g-500?

Need advice for the best way to upgrade stock stereo in 2003 G-500. Speakers? Amp? Where to buy and what brand? Anyone heard the Harmon Kardon that comes as an option?
