Clean install........
Here is a clean install on my E420 my friend and i did it we are both 16 years old , message me with any questions

cost
I actually saved alot of money off of ebay, plus all of it was new . if i would have payed full retail for all this equipment it would have cost 3000 but i got it for about 1200-1300 range the
alpine amp cost 450 1000 at tweeter
kenwood i bought at tweeter for 200$
Eclipse subs 2 for 400$ 400$ each at tweeter
Clarion DRX-9675z 450 on ebay 800 at mobile 1
Capacitor 115 at moblie sound blasters
box 110 at mobile sound blasters
carpet 3.00
install FREE me any my friend did it

I have a 98 E430 Sport. I am wanting to upgrade the sound system but don't want to be ovbious about it (although yours looks great-I'm just an old man that wants better sound-not the best). I would consider changing the dash unit if I could find one that looks real cool. I have the cd changer now and don't like it because you have to get in the trunk to change cd's. I'd just rather do one at a time. I'd like to just change out the speakers and amps using the same grills and amp mounts. Any ideas?

i get most of my stuff off of ebay, and if my dash would fit it i would get an alpine CVA-1008 7 inch fold out screen and a NVE-851a DVD navigation unit, that is my opinion

Speakers and amps
If you have the money i would get MB quart speakers and a mcintosh amp 
but i dot have that kind of money 1200 for an amp ! the speakers cost about 150 a pair but are great deal for the money ! top of the line german speakers.
MB quart speakers are affordable especially on ebay, and are the best buy for the money , and an alpine or Xtant amp is a great amp for you door speakers. i will get model numbers for you if you need them

Thanks, I have 2 sets of MB Quart speakers on my home stereo and know how good they are. I think they would be perfect if I can find the mdel number that would install and use the mercedes grill. If you find the model of that alpine amp let me know. Do I need to change out the rear speakers and amp?

If you want to add one small subwoofer for some bass, you should get a five channel amplifier

I have a V12 1500 watt amp pushing my subs and i have a 4 channel kenwood amp for my speakers
get the stuff off of ebay too unless you want a warranty then go to a mobile electronics store
you should change out the rear speakers too and get a better amp , because that bose amp is only about 240 watts

i got an alpine iva c800 in my 99 clk w/ 12 disc changer . but if u just want something simple and dont like going to the trunk, get the alpine in dash 3 disc changer and replace the stock speakers w/ new ones and use the factory speaker wells. get a little 4 chan amp that will install nicely in ur trunk
