No, they use completely different cd-roms. The Audio 30 APS should be able to use the cd-roms for the Harman Kardon Traffic Pro. It is the US version of the Becker Traffic Pro which is the basis of the Audio 30 APS. We won't know for sure until the HK unit is available for sale, probably sometime in September.

Hi
The latest European Audio-30 APS CD's are not copyable (some sort of copy protection, and they dont work) _ I know this because I wanted to run a copy of my master disk, rather than the original as they are expensive.
Also, the MB Audio-30 APS disk is different to the TraffficPro disk, since the disks also contain a software update for the radio/nav units as well as the maps, which takes about 20 minutes to install itself.
(COMAND radio/nav software updates are done seperately by the dealer if required).
If you dont use the Audio-30 APS then you will not have steering wheel controls etc etc ..

I thought someone said that MB was about to release it in the US.
Until they do, it will not work as the correct map/software disks will not be available for the US.
This is a shame, because the whole of europe fits on one Audio-30-APS CD, whereas with COMAND you need loads of CDs to cover Europe. So I imagine the whole of the US would fit on one CD.

I sincerely doubt than MBUSA will release the Audio 30 APS in the US. They prefer to sell COMAND.
