O.K. - this is really quite simple. Other threads talk about all the different compatability issues, etc. I just want to know what works. My new 07' E350 has everything needed except phone and cradle. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg - but want to leave a phone in the cradle at all times. BTW does it charge when the engine is off?.
I currently use NEXTEL/SPRINT - not supported.
So what is the best phone & cradle and best deal?.

It doesn't charge when the phone's not in the cradle, of course.

It won't use the car's antenna, either.

If you want to use the phone with the car COMMAND but not in the cradle, you'll need a Bluetooth setup.

Dealer has list of compatible phones and supported service providers.

It is very simple indeed. Go to your dealer or order online from AWS the following: one MB V60x Sprint handset (p/n BQ6820888) and one V60i/x MHI cradle (p/n BQ6820988). Tell Sprint or AWS to add this new handset to your account as a family plan. Click the cradle into your car, dock the phone, and you're done.
