MB's mp3-compatible six-disk changer; compatible with Audio 50? (W211 2004)
I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered before, but I couldn't locate anything using search.
Can anyone 100% confirm that MB's mp3-compatible six-disk changer is compatible with the Audio 50 head unit? We have a 2004 W211.
While I've had several people tell me that this model is compatible (i.e. "it's plug-n-play" is the best answer I've been able to get so far), none have been able to clearly confirm that the Audio 50 head unit has full display and control of the mp3 file folder structure, just like I have seen illustrated on many COMAND photos.
REALLY would appreciate if someone could confirm this!
Thanx!

Well, not even MBenzML can answer this question for me. How depressing is that???
Does ANYONE on this forum have an Audio 50 head unit and the MP3 changer that can answer this question for me?
Pretty please?
I just don't see the point of having the MP3 changer if you can't control it...

IMO why bother? get an IPOD Kit installed, I wanted FULL access to my entire library and i hated shuffling discs.. so this is the way I went. Changers are played... evenn the MP3's because they have too many limitations fir me.

That's because you have apready been told that is works. What else are you looking for? of course you can't see the song titles on your MFD like your command, and you have that limit of 99 tracks, and all that, but that's what you already know right? that's all there is.

And FYI, the iPod kit isn't compatible with an Audio 50 headunit, or so I've been told numerous times.
