command retrofit but CD not working
a few years back I started a job to retrofit a command in my 02 W208. Everything went ok, however, in the middle of the excitement, I never made the CD connection in the back of the command. Recently, I decided to sell the car. The new owner want the CD changer working before he buys it.
So I connected the Pin 5 and Pin 6 as mentioned in here and the CD Changer started working.
The problem is when I turn the Car off for a few minutes and come back, the command system doesn't recognize the CD Changer. If I take the power off from the command and put it back in. It geos into a reset process and the CD starts working again.
Anyone has any ideas what could be wrong ?

Yep.
Pin 4 ( d2B wake up) is not making a good conection. I had the same problem, I ended up just removeng the locking backshell part of the connector because everytime I lock it in, because of the way pin 4 is locatred, it never would fully seat. So, i just took off the locking part and pushed the C2 connector in manually and never had a problem again.

I think that did it.
Pulled the C1 connections and put them back in. Also, pushed all the pins in all the way on the C2.
Got the CD working, so I drove for about 30 min .... When I got back, turned the car off waited 20 min, turned it back on, it was still working.

The new owner is going to be very happy ... sad to see it go for so cheap, but a new CLS will make forget the pain fast.
