underdoor lights

underdoor lights
iv seen a couple pics of people with underdoor lights on e55's (ie. can drive 55). i was wondering if anyone knows if there are aftermarket ones or if i could make some and how.

You can just buy the door wiring harnesses for this and add them
The dealer will/may have to tell the door controllers that they have the extra lighting
Assuming there are no lights in your door at the moment :-
From section 82.174 on EPC for E class
Cable Harness, left front door with illumination
A211 540 00 06
Ditto, Right
A211 540 01 06
From section 82.165 on EPC for E class
Courtesy Lamp, left and right front doors
A211 820 10 01
Light Guide, door handle
A211 820 12 01
Emergency Lantern
A211 820 11 01
I think those numbers include the lenses, but may not
I dont know whether you have to fit all the lights, otherwise the door controller may report a blown bulb, or not.
If you have some of those lights, but not all, I would guess that the loom is already there and all you need is to plug them in
