Is even the basic Tele-Aid worth the price? Costs more and does less than Onstar. If I didn't work in the hood and have a sick feeling the vehicle tracking feature may one day prove helpful, I wouldn't subscribe at all. And besides that, the one time I had a check engine light on and called to see what was up, I drove practically the whole 45 minute trip home waiting for someone to even pickup.

I don't remember where I saw it, but a guy around San Francisco said it is completely worthless (his was a real horror story). My car is equipped for it, but after reading his, and a couple of other negative comments, I never considered activating it. Good luck!
