W211 - Location of GPS antenna

Hi everyone.

Is the proper location for the installation of a GPS antenna in a W211 under the dash behind the instrument cluster, regardless of whether the model is a sedan/saloon or wagon/estate?

Appreciate the clarification!

Use the Mercedes antenna splitter in the truck and split the telephone antenna, it is behind the right truck paneling where the nav unit processor is located.

Depends if you're installing Audio 50 APS or COMAND. Answer above pertains to COMAND.
