auto level adjustments affecting aftermarket system?

auto level adjustments affecting aftermarket system?
i'm thinking about getting an aftermarket system i.e. subs, and speakers. however, i know that mercedes stock head units auto adjusts as revs increase. is there anyway to disable this, because i don't feel like blowing my ear drums apart when i slow down.

Yes. I know that in CLK's with command. You can turn this on or off via the star diagnostics. I don't know how this will work with after market system, but if you are getting an aftermarket system. Yoy should consider doing an AMplifier by-pass, so you don't have to deal with it one way or the other.

I don't know what model of car and audio system you have, but I had the dealer disconnect that feature in mine (2002 E430 with Bose) and it works well. However, a friend of mine with a C Class has tried several times to have his dealer disable that feature, and after three times he gave up. I think his has the next generation of that feature. Since you're in LA, if Auto Stiegler is close to you they might be able to help.
