E2 Error on W140 Cassette player??

E2 Error on W140 Cassette player??
I did a search, I couldn't come up with anything. I just replaced my dad's bad headunit with the same one that I bought from Potomac German Auto. He has a W140 93 300SE, it's the cassette tape deck. As soon as I put the code in it comes up with "E 2" on the display and does not turn on. Any ideas what this Error means? They said it has been tested, but I don't know how much I believe them. Thanks.
