AM Amplifier?

AM Amplifier?
The MB Dealer in investigating the poor AM reception on my COMMAND equiped C240 told me that the previous owner removed the AM Amplifier. Anybody know where this is located and how much it should cost?

Poor AM reception
I have had a TV tuner and Nokia phone kit added to my Comand which all work well.
But my AM reception has suffered. I know the antenna cable is under the drivers seat (RHD), and installation of the phone kit requires some modifications of the antenna wiring, I think because the GSM phone and radio share the same cable.
I was told the TV tuner antennas may also down grade AM reception, but no one has ever mentioned an AM amplifier... thats interesting.. keep me posted
