Euro Command

I'm considering a Euro command for my cls63 so I can watch DVD's. Does anyone know if I will loose my serius sat radio by doing this?

Wrong answer Ted, you will not lose it. I can switch from Euro mode to US mode to have Sat or DVD.

but you don't have an 07 CLS63 and you do not know what euro comand this guy will end up with...in other words: if his euro comand has newer sotware then yours (which starts to become very likely nowadays) he will not be able to switch from euro to US mode and thus is ted's answer right...but regardless of being able to switch modes...it isn't really the way to go - is it?
park car next to road - hit buttons in right order - switch euro to US mode - switch of comand and car - wait for a while - start car and switch on comand - check to see whether comand actually did switch mode - if yes, activate SAT radio - drive off again...

greetingz,

Kevin, Are you speaking of the 5-3-7 hack to switch modes?

greetingz,
Greetings Steve, I don't have a 07 63, but my friend does and I installed a my old Euro 7039 unit is his 63 that had factory SAT & NAV, so I'm speaking from experience on this, thus Ted's answer is wrong, or maybe he should define it more clearly when he says NO.
And it to me its the way to go since you can have the best of both worlds.
If you plan on watching a movie for a trip, before you leave just switch it over, i doubt people pull over to the side of the road to switch it.
Hope this helps

Question...do the Euro versions have more intuitive programing/navigation functions than the US version that I have in my 2004 S500?

I find the Garmin Street Pilot portable that I keep in my 2002 F-150 SuperCrew to be a lot easier to use and a little more accurate.

I am willing to go with a Euro version retrofit if it would gain some user friendly features.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

I have the euro and it is the same as the US version. The only diffrence is my US one had a casette player and the euro does not. The reason I got it was to have DVD in motion but no luck. I should just sell the damn thing.

You are referring to the w220 S class comand. The thread starter is referring to a w211 or w219 comand.
