Mercedes is touting their 10 speaker bose system as sounding great, but I recently bought a fully upgraded C320 and the system sounds pretty bad.

Problems are arsh mid-range, no low-end etc. etc. Anybody else has this experience ? If so, is there a kit available from alphine or pioneer that will fit in the same spots as the C320's speaker locations ?

 

Have you changed the ambience settings? If it is set to "Speech", there is no bass at all.

 

I've tried all settings, including all amb settings (which make it all even worse). The system is just severely lacking anything between 100-300hz

That car has alot of problems. If you can get rid of it, do so. Or you'll be stuck with alot of electrical and computer problems. Some of the 2002 models have less problems. But nevertheless, it still has alot. I had mine bought back because it was a lemon. I got it brand new, straight from the port from Germany with 11 miles from the factory test drive.

 

Mine is also a 2002, european delivery. No problems so far except for the bad sounding Bose speaker system (which will sound just as bad on your car . I'm looking for solutions on putting an EQ inline, or recommendations for fitting speaker replacements
