W211 COMAND: Different Models & Questions
I'm looking into buying a DVD COMAND unit to replace the Audio 50 that came with my '03 E55. I've only just worked out that the Euro unit will play DVDs, and was ready to buy on eBay. However, looking at all the models available, I now have a lot more things I need to clarify, and was hoping someone here could help:
1. What is the difference between the 7023 and 7039 models (if any)? I have seen both available on eBay.
2. Some of the above come with a Navigation DVD player (model 6059). Where is this installed? I don't really need or want navigation, and certainly not if it replaces the 6-disc changer located beneath the COMAND unit.
3. I'm assuming the steering wheel controls and telephone will remain operational after the swap?

I'm interested in a command as cheap as possible. I want it to play DVD as I drive. Not to worry, I don't even change radio stations unless I'm at a red light. But sometimes I let other ppl drive and I would like to be able to see a movie. Also, I may want Video outputs but that's not a reall necessity. What I need is the ability to put a navigation on it. Also I may want a rear camera or front even for parking. Which comands can I get and what's the best possible price. I seen one on ebay at 699 with ability to offer less.
