SL Door panels questions
Any info and pictures of how to remove SL door panels to get to speakers?

remove the sail panel, triangle top corner of the door, remove the metal door end cap (where the door latch is, I believe 6 T-15/20 torx screws), twist the plastic airbag panel 45-75 degrees counter clockwise and remove, there is torx behind it that needs removed, double check if there is a plug in the (rubber) in the pocket with a torx behind that and one in the door pull under the pull handle. I do allot of vehicles and forget exactly. you will have to use a wedge to unsnap the 5-6 plastic clips that hold the bottom of the door panel to the door itself 4-5 on the bottom and one towards the front but about 19" up. after that pull up and away from the door, it should come off. when you are pulling up and away there is these plastic fingers that slide into a cavity to hold the upper portion of the door panel to the door itself, they are a slight pain to get in and off, but bear with it, you will be fine.
Also a side note, do it with the window down, and this is also assuming that you are talking about the sl500/55
