00 .SAT in 03 ML270
Hi,
newbie, please forgive me any daft questions.......
been using COMAND all day, 300 mile trip, multiple searches etc.
Driving home, it went haywire, shows 00 .SAT and is about 40 miles SE of my actual position AND it seems to follow the displayed road perfectly (albeit 40 miles away and completely the wrong direction and totally not what i'm driving on)
any help please, it's the baby wagon and used very often.

now i am confused........
been back out to the car, it having rested for 2 hrs and it now shows 08 SAT, so picking up signals fine, but still going SE and ignoring the road i'm on completely -
it just won't compute where i am?
anyone?

Either GPS antenna (or circuits on COMAND) is broken, or system just needs a reset.
If you go to www.mercupgrades.com and look at my document on COMAND Service mode, it will tell you how to enter diagnostic mode, where you can reset it (although its actually worth removing the fuse for a couple of minutes), and read the error codes, and theres a list of what error codes mean
