MB Radio = Chrysler, Hmmmmm
http://www.chrysler.com/inside/news/crossfire.html
the Crossfire "combines American design with German engineering."
I am not surprised.
Hell, they even say in that article that they will bulid the Crossfire in Germany.
Ahh... According to the specs page: 3.2L 18-valve V6 engine, 215hp, 229lb-ft torque. That sounds a whole lot like the current Mercedes 320 engine. Ooh, it has ESP (Electronic Stability Program), just like modern Mercedes-Benz cars. Hell, compare the dimensions of the SLK320 to the Crossfire. They're almost identical (within 1 inch on wheelbase, front track, rear track).
DaimlerChrysler is simply continuing its evolution into a giant worldwide dominating automobile company. Just thank God it's Chrysler becoming Mercedes instead of the other way around.
Anyway, the radios are probably interchangable (electrical signals don't care what color the plastic surrounding them is painted).
The climate control dials look like the semi-automatic controls fitted to MBs in Europe.
Look at the way the switches bellow the radio are laid out - seem familiar? Even the hazard light switch looks very..err..familiar.
Actually all of that componentry - not just the radio looks like it came from MB.
