Adding more bass to Bose?

Has anyone just spliced into the amp for the Bose sound system and added a sub woofer to it?

Add bass to BOSE.

I did add an Infinity Bass Link to my car 2000 CLK 320 (the reason I choose Bass Link because it's small, the trunk of my CLK is very small, the Infinity Bass Link take a little trunk's space), I keep eveything stock. It does gave some nice bass with minimal cost (less than $250 including labor). I do not want a big box, taking half of the trunk's space. Regards.

I did it on my 97 e 420. I just tapped into the rear speaker wire with a high to low converter. The rest of the work is just your normal amp and woofer install.

And you just tapped into the battery for Amp power, right?

Also, what is a high, to low convertor? Are you talking about a cross over?

The bass in my 02 E320 is sooo weak, you can hear the speakers pop when it's not even turned up a couple of bars, I want to just take the speaker wire from there and bypass them completely.

Thanks for your input

I used a PAC SNI-35 as my high to low converter http://www.tune-town.com/Cars/stuff/model_sni.htm and I tapped into the battery for power. You do however have to find the cars accesory wire and use it as the amps switch wire (It turns the amp off when the car is off) I happeded to have a cd changer in my trunk so I used the switch wire on it.
