Hi everyone. Might someone have instructions for removing and replacing the GPS antenna in an S211? I've been told that it's located in the tailgate "wing" that also houses the third brake light.

All help greatly appreciated!

 

I dump this one - anyone who can help? Would be nice with a DIY. And, anyone who has experience with this cheap China GPS-antennas found on Ebay?

 

You have to remove the tailgate panelling (top part) first, then remove screws and nuts from the top inside.

Why not purchase a genuine spare part, it isn't that expensive.

In Norway an origninal MB antenna cost apx. 1700 NKR (£140/$200), thats expensive if u ask me....

 

Right, but you can order from Germany or purchase an OEM part from eBay. German price list says 67.51 €.

 

i did search for a OEM part on ebay, but didnt find any. Purchased a $12 china-verision with a Fakra-connector, not a big risk if it dosent work. But if you have an URL to a German shop who sells genuine or OEM parts to private persons abroad, i would appreciate if you let me know. I also need 3 (maybe 4) new doorhandles with keyless go. The ones i have is full of water thanks to the Norwegian climate ;-)
