Change Speakers (Comand D2B)

Hello,

I want to change the speakers of my sportcoupe without adding any amplifier.

What do you suggest me? Anyone know the power of the comand internal amp?

I have seen some Alpine S, Alpine R, and Infinity speakers that run at 2 ohms, will it be negative to put them on a system that was designed for 4 ohms?

Thanks

You can do it easily without an amp. I am not too sure of the rated power of COMAND but it should do just fine as long as you have good quality effecient speakers. The 2 ohm load will work your COMAND more and warm it up a bit. I would stick with 4 ohm if I were doing it.

Focal makes some great efficient speakers, so you may want to look there. Get the highest db rating that you can to maximize your performance.

Thanks for your suggestion but it's not easy to find those in Spain.

Best Regards.

There are many models in the Focal line, so look around a little more. This is one of the best choices IMO in car audio. What you posted was pretty expensive.

Is there a huge diference between 93 and 92 dB's? So is it more easy for Comand to move the 93 dB sepakers than the 92 dB ones?

Best Regards.

There will not be a huge difference between the two, so if you are at 92 you will be fine. The higher the number the easier they are to drive.
