Fuel-indicator problems

I have a CLK 230 K -00. The fuel-indicator is showing empty tank when i start the car... After a few minutes it goes up to full even though I have 50% fuel in the tank.

Is there anyone who know what to do ?? Is it expensive to fix ??

Please help...

Take it to your dealer, the sensor is out.

i have a similar issue. only 7/8's full. and then drops very quickly. yesterday, it said i was empty - went to fill up and i only put in 7 gallons... went back to 7/8's full. i've been keeping an eye on it for the last month.

so i finally called the dealer today and setup an appointment.
