2002 E55 Purchase, should I get one with phone or not?

I am in the process of shopping for 2002 W210 E55. Two cars have peaked my interest so far. One has the Integrated phone cradle and hardware, but no phone and the other has nothing.

Is it possible to get a phone system setup in the car that has no preexisting integrated phone? And are there dealers who will still have parts to upgrade an existing intregrated phone setup to bluetooth capability. I know the BT puck exists, but I think it's not plug in play without additional equipment and/or programming.

Consider that it will cost about 1500.00 and a lot of hassle to get the car without the phone done of you want to stay OEM. IF there is still a huge price difference between the two cars and you're up for the hssle of the mod, then get the one without. Otherwise having everything already installed can prove to be worth its weight in gold especially on a preowned car.

If you have everything except the phone, then all you have to do is call wireless for mercedes and they will get you going. Assuming your existing system is functional, it should be plug and play for about $350.

Hello, I want to reply to this. I do have the phone setup originally with my 2001 E55 and even have the phone. Are you saying I can get this converted to work with my current Samsung S20 phone?
