Talking Time To Upgrade The Speakers

Alright, I have an 03C230K Sedan. I have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch 3's powered by a Rockford Amp in the trunk. They sound great but my door speakers just can't keep up. They either get drowned out or distorted when turned up. I know the speakers are 6.5" and the rear doors I can replace with normal speakers but, what about the front? The tweeter is on the door, so do I need to replace the fronts with component systems? Also my head unit is a Pioneer Avic D3(4x55watts RMS) Will that be enough juice for the new speakers or should I get another amp to power the speakers? Any recommendations for speakers? Thanks A Lot For Any Input

beater with a heater
Toss in a set of JL Audio ZR components and amplify using a JL 300/2. Obviously if they are being drowned out, common sense would say hey i have 2 12" speakers with a cone area of 226 inches square vs a pair 6.5" speakers measuring in at a healthy 70 Sq inches of cone area (including tweeters) running off of AVIC power which is 14 watts a channel.. real world every day power not the Pioneer box power... so amplify a set of new speakers and it will do considerably better sound quality wise and will be at least twice as loud as what you were listening to before. due to more power.

Where should I mount the tweeter in the 2 rear door speakers?

rear speakers? just get a set of coaxials for the rear, no need to waste the money if the front was done right.

Trust me on this...
