Problem with CD Changer Help...
Hello
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this problem I'm
having with my CD changer. I have a 2000 Mercedes CLK430 with
navigation system and a 6-disc changer in trunk. When I load the
changer with disc and choose cd on my unit, the message I get
on screen is No cd Changer, but also get cartridge is inserted and
nothing happens. I can hear the cd charger checking the disc in the
trunk but nothing happens. Has anyone experience this problem. Please help. Thanks.

have radio reset code in hand before you try the following....in order....
1 - pull radio and remove radio fuse in back. reinsert. try changer again (trying
to disrupt the power and jog the radio to reset)
2 - pull the fuse in fuse panel which protects radio. reinsert. try changer again.
(some folks don't know which fuse if they've lost the fuse map)
3 - disconnect negative cable from battery and let sit for a few minutes.
reconnect. try changer again. -- may also try leaving cable off overnight --
(be aware that this may cause windows, seats, roof, etc to reset and need
to resync)
one of the above should work. if not, did the changer ever work...and did it
just stop for some strange reason? any other anomaly occur about that time?
do you have OEM cell phone working through the car?
did you SEARCH this site? this is a common occurance. use other folks'
experience so that they dont need to retype.
