Comand/radio unit, parts?
Anyone know if any parts to this unit are available? Specifically, I have a couple scratches in my screeen that I just can't seem to get out. Wonder if you can buy a screen, cover, or what? So many of these late model MB products require the replacement of the whole unit, which would be silly. Just wondering out loud, or does anyone have a special trick for getting scratches out of that plastic material? Thanks....

EPC does not show any other option than a full unit. But these are available as replacement part, I have not used it but I guess you would give your unit for repair and would get a conditioned one back?
I've seen different options to work on the plastic head lamps when they start getting blurred, perhaps the same would work on the HU screen? I know you would probably accept some traces of treatment on the headlights while it might not be acceptable for the screen.

I've got a feeling that the thing is still hundreds, if not thousands, even with the core. Maybe I could find a broken one and experiment with it....if anyone has more info, thanks.

I was just browsing some W211 stuff (after something totally different) and found a document talking about scratches on the Audio 20 CC radio display cover. The guide explains how to detach the display cover but I did not find any part numbers or other guidance to order a new part. Might be worth while to ask an MB shop, preferably a good one, perhaps someone would know more. The W211 document is AR82.60-P-2061A if you want to refer to it.
