Can an amp be added to the 2000-2002 E-Class Bose System?

Yes, put a signal converter from High to RCA, and then put your amp and hook your sub-woofers.
I bought one that acts as remote power to the amp as well as convert high to RCA (so I didn't have to run another wire from the front switch to the amp). Can't remember the name, but just ask a shop.

i dont know if you are talking about adding subs or just adding an AMP to existing Bose components, but both can be done. My dad is getting an amp (its going to have to be a big one!) connected to all the Bose components in his W140 CL600. Really adds a LOT to the sound of the Bose system. However, with the new E-class, i assume the fiberoptic wiring is used, and i think this makes adding an amp to existing components not possible. but adding subs is easy.
