Xenons/HID lights worth the $ to upgrade?

It's a lot more "worth it" when they're factory installed.
Dealer retrofit of any option is always way more expensive.
There are lots of H7 bulb upgrades to easily improve what you currently have.

The factors are complex, and all of them are discussed very well. The reference to this article should be made a sticky, in my view, for anyone contemplating headlight changes.

lkchris guided me to this article on another thread on W164.
So the thanks should go to him.\But I realized that today ihere are 2 new alternates of Halogen bulbs H7 +30 and +50 ( for the cars using H7) which are fantastic compared with the original Halogens and do not require any modifications except changing the bulb and are very close to the Xenon range and intensity.
