The Mikbox Is Still Available
Several forum members have inquired in recent weeks whether the MikBox is still available. I contacted MIK recently, and it is. MIK expects to have a new website up soon, but in the meantime you can reach him directly by e-mail at mik@mikbox.com.
Please also note that in the U.S., the phones that are compatible with the MikBox must also meet the 911/GPS standard before cellular service providers will accept them. This would tend to limit the usable phones to more recent models such as the V710 and the E815 (there may be others).
Canada does not have the 911/GPS requirement, so older phones can still be used.
