Contact transfer in one car but not the other? Why?

Contact transfer in one car but not the other? Why?

I have the bluetooth puck on my 2006 ML500 (American) and 2007 E550 (European). When I link my HTC S730 with the ML, all contacts transfer to the system, however, on the E-Class the ocntacts do not tranfer.

Is there any reason for this? DO I need to do something else on the E?

Same phone. Same BLuetooth puck.

Just a guess - the contacts may be stored in built-in phone memory but not on the SIM card. I believe your U.S. system will look to phone memory, while the European system will look to the SIM card.

I put a contact on the SIM and it did not transfer. Any more ideas?

Could it be that you are using a US BT puck and that one isn't compatible with the Euro UHI? There is very little info about the US part to Euro car and vice versa compatibility, Richard could have some:
