Auto Sound Sensing??

I have an 03 E55 in which I have a full audio system: Components, Coax's, 2 amps, sub, audiocontrol LC-6. I am having an issue with my audio volume increasing and decreasing by itself automatically even when the car is just sitting there not moving at all. What could be causing this? Does the stock e55 deck, the audio50 have some sort of auto sensing or adjusting which might be going all out of whack because of my aftermarket stereo and it doesn't know how to respond to it so it automatically increases or decreases volume on its own? Thanks for any advice!

Its the auto volume control. All you have to do is remove the mic in the overhead console.. Right above the mirror.. just pull the mirror down, remove the cover, and theres a mic with a brwn/yellow wire. Just unplug it, and put everything back together...Voila!!

Does that apply for an 1995 C36-AMG?

I have not hear about a 1995 C36 AMG but I don't think radios had automatic level control at that time. Some models also use a speed signal instead of a microphone.

It's funny, they could have easily included a softkey command to turn this function. I find this feature annoying as well. It seems crazy to have to disconnect the sensing microphone.

Does disconnecting this microphone affect the hands-free telephone in any way?
