I am unhappy with the quality of the Harman kardon system in my CLK 55 cab. The door speakers rattle and are very muffled sounding especially compared with the center channel speaker. I had MB diagnose rattles and they informed me that 2 screws were missing in door panel but it still rattles. I am considering new speakers and additional amplifier. How many other members have done this?

 

your speaker is not the problem. The speaker is not causing the noise. Its shaking something causing the rattling. At least thats the impression I get from your post. If you replace the speaker, its still going to rattle whatever your current speaker is rattling.

Turn the bass down. turn the mid range up.

Get a sug for the back dash/trunk.
