1997 E320 audio help and info PLEASE
Just took delivery of my 97 E320. LOVE it, it needs a little fixing up ( im a tinkerer so it will be a fun challenge) my first problem. A big hole where the radio used to be. No problem im thinking ill just go to my local audio store, pick up an adapter and install my Alpine CDA-9885 and have some tunes...Wow i am so confused !! The shop where i went wanted $200.00 to ohm out the wiring and make an adapter for my factory harness??! Someone in this forum has surely done an install and can direct me to the neede info to get some tunes in my new ride !??!!! This car has no radio controls (not sure if any 97 E320 did) i do not think it is a Bose system ( not sure how to tell?). Thanks in advance !! Scott

if bose (vs HK) the rear deck speaker should sport "Bose" label. you can also
look at the amp, tucked behind the trunk liner but that's more hassle. there
are easier tricks to convert.
....or post a similar query in the 210 forum.

update
Just checked. Two speakers only in rear deck, also no 'Bose' emblems anywhere on speakers. does this mean i can just buy an adapter for a Volkswagen and wire like thT ?? Thanks again Scott
