![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
The command (nav) in my 2001 E430 produces a crackling noise when playing the radio from time to time, this issue disappears when I insert a CD in the head unit and play it. The command was retrofitted last week and I didn’t have this issue earlier. My question is does anyone have any idea if this just a loose wire or any what might be causing this issue. I need to take the car back to the individual who did the install as he forgot to hook up the CD changer so if it is a bad connection or loose wire I can ask him to fix it at the same time.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you get it fixed Brit?
It kinda sound like my problem too. Mine sounds like high pitched Morse code.
Mostly dits & occasional steady dahs.
Just got my HU changed to a Pioneer DEH-P5000UB. Installer tapped one of the fuses under the hood for power.
Could it be the fuse is loose or something? or could it be just the fiber optic lead like skylaw mentioned...did not use any FO cable though.
All stock except for HU.
03 C240 non bose.
