chirping sounds from ML500 dash -help?

chirping sounds from ML500 dash -help?
Does this sounds familiar to anyone? My 2002 ML500 randomly eminates a "chirping sound" (kind of like a whistle) from the driver side dash area. Sometimes lasts for a few minutes - some days it doesn't even happen. Doesn't seem to be related to any radio /speaker function or to speed/accelaration. Any thoughts much appreciated as I am unable to predictively replicate the issue at the dealership.

I hear something which sounds like my tweeters over extending, which is more like a clicking, but there is nothing wrong with them, and it goes away when you turn the volume up. I'm not sure if they are the same problems, but I would like to know of anyone else with something similar.
