SAP V2 Cradle

Hi,

I have a 2007 CLK with SAP V2 Module and Audi 20, I am using it with the Nokia 6500, the phonebook download is fine and I can dial numbers from the car using phone book, however incoming calls do not display Name, only number. Is this normal or is something amiss?

Contacts are stored on Phone memory, not SIM.

Thanks in anticipation.

Have you tried doing the 0000<dial> thing to reload the phonebook ? Also, are your numbers stored in international format as +44 or as 0044 , or without country codes ?

Hi Richard,

Yes, I have reloaded the phone book a couple of times, no joy. The Numbers are stored as +44 in the phone, I have also tried a couple of numbers without country code and that makes no difference.

I have checked the numbers are only stored in the Phone once.

I don't have this problem with the V1 device (but with Comand).

So you can dial by name from the phone book? I remember some talks at mbclubuk where the numbers had to be in international format when the incoming call number was presented in international format and vice versa. I don't remember which car/HU/BT device or cradle this was about though. But now you seem to claim that it does not matter which format the phone book is using.

I also remember an MB document talking about this issue, if I remember right, their advice was to use international number format (+xxx...) but I have a feeling this did not solve all cases.
