I Would Recommend The Factory EURO Comand..It Has a Output for T.V. and is a O.E. Piece Plus RDS..Its Made for the Benz! ..No Flip up screen..Works with the Steering wheel controls..
If Interested Contact www.MBenz.nl for Info

I agree with byip25 that Alpine is the BEST... but that was a few years ago...

Their technology have not improved at all!!!! Everyone else has offered a head unit capable of playing DVD while Alpine remains the only manufacture that still requires you to get 2 seperate units...

I have both an Alpine system complete with DVD/Navi/TV, and a Kenwood with the same setup, and I have to say, I find the Kenwood to be a better system.

Still Love ALpine, just can't wait till the new generation units to come out.

By far the best systems are only available in Japan. In Japan, you can buy a navigation system for your car that will render 3D views of the buildings you are driving by. The newest navigation systems also lay down satellite photos underneath the maps. They use hard disk drives (usually 20GB or so) because a DVD-ROM won't hold the map data plus satellite photos plus 3D building models.

Anyway, one of those Japanese units won't do you any good here since you won't be able to find U.S. map data discs for it. Not to mention that the TV channels and radio stations are on different frequencies over there (and they don't overlap with the ones we use here).

So basically you can't have the world's best unless you live in Japan. The units the Japanese sell for use in the U.S. are pretty good, but they're a generation or two behind what's available in Japan.

very true, we just have to live with what we got I guess....

I've seen the Japanese navigations, the 3D map is awsome!!!

The kenwood navi offers a "3D" view, but it is a joke... nothing 3D about it...
