Navigation Disk

I just bought an updated California, Nevada, Hawaii (all on 1) disk. However, I sold my ride (2000 E55) for $15,000 before it arrived. If anyone is interested, I'll sell it for what I paid ($75 including shipping). This disk is brand new, never used and was created by the dealer, so it is a clean copy. PM me if interested.

What do you mean by "it was created by the dealer"? I hope the dealer did not make a copy from the only original they ordered from MB, paying for one and selling many.

I'd suggest you to post the part number details from the CD, this helps buyers confirm it holds an up-to-date map database.

I guess these CDs are relatively expensive, the DVD for later models does not cost much more than you are asking and covers the whole US.

The part number would be very important. According to Wolfgang's ML page, the following CD sets are the most current:

00 S-Class COMAND 2.5 until 8/99, VIN to A078551: 10 CD set, "C", version 2004-1 (MB part# Q6-46-0191)
00 S-Class COMAND 2.5 from 9/99, VIN A078551 can use the "D" or "DX" CDs listed below:
01-03 S/CL, 01-04 C/CLK, 00-02 E, 02-05 G: 10 CD set, version 2005-2, release 8/05 (MB part# Q6-46-0215)
01-03 S/CL, 01-04 C/CLK, 00-02 E, 02-05 G: 10 CD set, version 2007-1, release 1/07 (MB part# Q6-46-0222)

Early on, nav CDs could be purchased singly. Later, MB started providing them only as sets.

Nav CDs are only sold in complete sets. It's hard to believe that a dealer would bootleg a single CD and sell it. They could get into major trouble with Navteq and MB by doing that.

I do agree. But selling individual discs from a set sounds better than having one legal set at the shop and burning copies from that.

I was really not even trying to guess this or that but to me it sounded odd when the customer told "This disk is brand new, never used and was created by the dealer, so it is a clean copy". With my earlier post I tried to get a clarification on what really happened.
