You don't mention where you come from, a C230 (from your profile, I assume it is about this car) can be anything from W202 to W203 to W204. Nobody wants to waste a lot of time covering all when it does not take a fraction for you to tell more details, please.

It is a C230

I am sorry, here is the story, a cd was stuck on the cd player. Went to jiggle it free, little spark came out (keys still in, thought it was out). The radio and the cd player stopped working. I recently removed the CD player from the glove box, open it up and took out the magazine without a problem. Radio still does not turn on! I noticed that everything works, except the button that "pops up" the rear head rest. I cannot find a burnt fuse.
any thoughts???

I assume you have the basic head unit, not Comand? And the radio does not come on at all, no activity seen at power on? If you did check the radio fuse at the fuse box, perhaps your head unit has a fuse at the rear part of it. You might want to pull the unit out and measure it you see power at the head unit connector and check the fuse if it exists.
