Command Model / Version Information
I have a E320 Avantgarde that came with the Audio console and the CD changer. I have replaced the Audio console with the COMMAND and kept the CD Changer. I want to know what version is my COMMAND unit and validate if it supports iPhone connectivity. Any help? I am new to the MB world.
I also would like to know if I can connect a bluetooth kit for my cellphone.

Could you tell us if your COMAND is wide screen, or not? And whether you are in Europe, Asia, or the U.S? (I suspect Europe, since you specified an Avantgarde, a designation usually used there).
Alternately, you may find what you need about your COMAND on RichardA's wonderful site at http://www.mercupgrades.com/
iPhone connectivity would be dependent on your phone system, not the COMAND unit. In the U.S., the iPhone is certified compatible with the MHI Bluetooth puck, and works well with the V60 puck even though not certified with it. I believe the iPhone will work with some European systems, but I am not certain which. Individual contributors have reported results in various "compatibility" reports. You might search "iPhone" together with "Europe" (or individual countries) and "Compatible" here and on BenzWorld.

From the UK-site I read iPhone has phone book download issues. Phone book most often does not get downloaded at all and this applies for the first generation iPhone (with the latest SW) as well as the second generation 3G iPhone.
The odd thing here is that the first generation iPhone worked perfectly fine until the latest SW version. Experts have reported this to Apple but the first following SW update did not yet include the fix. Here too it actually might not be an issue at Apple side even if it first worked OK. One would still hope Apple would take care of it in either case, the MB BT adapter cannot be updated and Apple only can bring a fix (assuming the adapter is not changed, there too MB should first bring a new adapter version).
