T-Bone,
I have a 2008 G500 and my the dealerships say this is not available (iPhone 3G cradle 204 820 40 51 USA) or don't know what it is. I am in the Washington DC area but since I have been unable to locate a dealer who knows about this item I would perfer to purchase it from one that has knowledge of them. What dealership did you place your order through?

Someone posted above that they ordered a Euro one from a dealer in the UK.

Welcome to the forum, bunnyrner,
You don't need the cradle at all. The cradle charges the iPhone. Depending on the model year of your S550, and assuming you're in the U.S., you may need an MHI Bluetooth puck (part B6 787 5878 or B6 787 6131); or, your COMAND may already have full Bluetooth integration without a puck.

iPhone cradle not compatible with 3G
See http://www.wireless4mb.com/page17/page17.html the Mercedes site "is not compatible with 3G". I called to be sure. Apparently, there are European versions for 3G, but not US. They didn't know of any plans to make a 3G model. The model is A2048203151. I got the same answer from an aftermarket company
So I bought a bluetooth module.

You just have to buy it from Europe. Works exactly the same, no problems--I have two. Both connect to iPod adapter, too.
