W209 CLK500 speaker configuration

Hi, i'm from Australia and drive a 2003 CLK500

My car did not come with the optional BOSE sound system, but it did come with COMAND which controls all my CD/radio etc

As all merc owners, i've been pretty dissappointed with the sound system, and have been looking at doing some sort of small upgrade.

At this stage i'm looking at just changing to better speakers, and at a later stage going with an amp of some sort to run these speakers

Based on a thorough search on these forums i have come up with the following information:

there should be 7 sepakers
- 2 in the front of the door (6.5")
- 2 tweaters in front of door (1")
- 2 in the rear of the door (6.5")
- 1 sub on the rear shelf (??? size)

it appears that all these run off the COMAND headunit without any amp of any kind (even the sub?)

i still am unsure of the size of the sub but are the other sizes correct?

does anyone know the impediance of the speakers? I assume the speakers are all 4ohm except the tweaters being 8ohm or is that incorrect?

thanks for all your help!

my further research says the stock sub could be either 8" or 9.1"

can anyone confirm?
