Loading Navigation CD v10.0 into AUDIO 30 APS

My friend let me borrow CD3 from his car so I can load it on my car.

I put it into the CD deck but nothing happens, It recognizes it as a NAV CD but I have no idea how to install it and overwrite the current NAV which is version 7.0

Do I need all the cd's 1 through 5? I only took number 3 since that is the countries I need.

Is there a special way of loading the nav cd into memory?

May be different in USA, but older MB NAV systems using CDs require the CD remain in the unit. There is no "memory" to write to.

As far as I know IKChris is correct. The CD version of the nav disk are laid out by regions (10 in all including Canada). When you go out of one region into another you need to load the disk for that region. Otherwise, you will not be able to get street level detail. Either way, the disk must remain in the nav unit. In newer cars (2004 forward) everything is on a a single DVD.
